I recently got a recorder and wanted to test it out and told Horacio I would record his set and give him notes. We were both on the same Showcase in August right before his birthday and I told him I would record it. We never had a chance to go over it but also don't get mad at me talking trash on the recording, it was something we did. Half of these jokes were the first time Horacio ever tried them but you could not tell with how well spoken he was. I was originally going to keep this to myself but thought I must share this little gem. Also that guy laughing obnoxiously is not me its some random guy.
Before Horacios untimely passing we recorded a couple episodes one of which was an attempt to record a live in person episode which gets a little weird in a Burger King parking lot.
The loss of Horacio Ramirez is a great and unbearable pain, but the joy he brought to all of our lives that we keep in our memories is greater.
Pat Clark is a very dear friend of Horacio, and he made a very touching and beautiful tribute I wanted to share with listeners. Published on Sep 25, 2015 "Pat lost one of his best friends unexpectedly yesterday. It's almost impossible to eulogize a friend that you've had for 20 years, but he got through it. Rest in peace, friend. Thanks for the laughs."
